Is it ok for both of them to be mommies?

The Elk preschool receives two new children. Olle, 3 years old, has two mothers and no father. Kevin, 4 years old, is adopted from Colombia and has two fathers. The staff has no previous experience with same-sex partnerships. Their family norms and values are intensly challenged.

· What family picture does the preschool present?
· How do we receive and validate children from same-sex families?
· What do our prejudices look like and how can we confront them?
· How can we improve our ability to include, make visible, and confirm children’s situation in life?

In the interactive part of the seminar the audience has the opportunity to toss their ideas and values with the parents and staff of the Elk preschool.
